Miya strictly prohibits and actively combats child sexual abuse and exploitation (CSAE). We implement robust measures to protect minors and maintain a safe environment for our adult user community.

Age Restriction

Miya is exclusively for users aged 18 and older. All users must confirm they meet this age requirement during account creation. We do not knowingly permit minors to register or use the app.

User Screening

Every registered user is subject to:

• Systematic review of profile information and activity patterns.
• Manual review by our Safety Team for accounts flagged as suspicious.
• Continuous monitoring of user reports and behavioral signals.

Reporting Mechanisms

Users can report concerns through multiple channels:

• In-app reporting available on every user profile and chat screen.
• Detailed report categories to help our team triage quickly.
• Dedicated safety email monitored around the clock for urgent concerns.

Response Protocol

All reports are treated with urgency:

• Critical CSAE reports are escalated within 15 minutes of receipt.
• Accounts under investigation are immediately suspended pending review.
• Confirmed violations result in permanent bans and reporting to relevant authorities.

Legal Compliance

Miya cooperates fully with law enforcement and relevant authorities in all jurisdictions where we operate. All CSAE evidence is preserved and reported to the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children (NCMEC) and corresponding international bodies as required by law.
